EdTech platform advisory
A structured review of your learning platform architecture, integration seams, and delivery risks before the next major release.
Format: Advisory engagement with workshops and written brief · Duration: Typically 3–5 weeks · Delivery: Remote across Australia; on-site in Canberra by arrangement · Fees: From AUD 12,800 (fixed-scope packages)
Who this is for
Learning providers, publishers, and in-house digital teams who own an LMS or custom learning application and need an external engineer to pressure-test architecture and tool connections before committing budget.
Result you leave with
A findings brief covering current architecture, critical integration points, risks tied to the next release or term start, and a recommended sequence of engineering work. The brief is written for mixed audiences — product, learning design, and engineering — so decisions do not stall in translation.
What is included
- Kick-off call to confirm goals, constraints, and access to environments or documentation
- Two discovery workshops (online or Canberra) with product and learning-design leads
- Technical walkthrough of platform components: content authoring, enrolment, assessment capture, gradebook, and reporting
- Mapping of learning tools already in use (proctoring, plagiarism, video, single sign-on, analytics)
- Written findings pack with prioritised recommendations and an effort band for each item
- One follow-up clarification call within two weeks of delivery
What is excluded
- Hands-on build or coding inside your repositories
- Vendor contract negotiation
- Ongoing production support or on-call coverage
- Student or staff training programmes
Provider and process
Engagements are led by WebBrook’s principal consultant, with optional specialist review for accessibility or assessment workflows when the brief requires it. Work proceeds in three stages: discovery, technical walkthrough, and findings delivery. You receive a draft for comment before the final pack.
Duration and delivery
Most platform advisory packages run three to five weeks depending on environment access and the number of tools in scope. Delivery is primarily remote across Australia; workshops can be held at our Canberra office or your premises when travel is practical.
Preparation
Please have available: architecture diagrams or equivalent notes, a list of learning tools and contracts, known pain points from the last term, and a named contact who can arrange system walkthroughs. Sandbox access accelerates the review but is not mandatory.
Constraints
We do not advise on marketing sites or generic enterprise IT outside the learning stack. If your primary need is brand-new product discovery without an existing platform, we will say so early and may decline the engagement.
Fees
Fixed-scope packages start at AUD 12,800. Larger estates with multiple campuses or multi-vendor toolchains are quoted after a short scoping call. See Fees for estimate factors.
